[He doesn't need to see it, he can smell it. But his attention is shifted to the table, stomach giving a growl before he stares up at Gohan. You're....going to invite him in and give him at least a snack right? Right?
[He's easy to please but Goten has always been a happy kid. His eyes light up and without waiting for another word, he bounces inside and over to the table.]
Wow, did you make all this yourself? I didnt know you could cook, Gohan!
[See he has manners! Even if he doesn't remember her, their mother influence is still over Goten. He lifts up his plate, chowing down and shoveling the food into his mouth as if he hasn't eaten for days upon days.]
Manners are good but it doesn't keep Goten from stuffing his face. After awhile of eating, he's still going at it but slowing down enough to look over the bowl to Gohan.]
Gohan, i wanted to ask what shinki you got. Do you still got the same ones? I donno if I got to meet them all.
Mmm....I thought about trying to make him some cookies or something but I donno, I've never seen him eat. He told me he just drinks water and thats crazy!
Mmm? Yeah, anytime but I haven't gotten much strong since...my training partner left.
[He frowns a bit at that but that doesn't stop him from stuffing a roll into his mouth. The boy hasn't been as much in a training mood since a certain death god left.]
I think he went back home. His temple and every was gone.
[Well, expect for one thing. Goten somehow got Hitsu' haori. He wanted to wear it but it quickly became something to sleep with. He does miss the white haired god. Aymeric is the only god that hasn't disappeared on him but he had hopped Hitsu would have been the same. He's terrified of Aymeric disappearing. It's an old fear he's had for awhile. One that comes and goes but he knows nothing can be done about it. It just...happens. He's lost a lot of friends.
The haori sort of helped keep nightmares of that away. Like maybe somehow a part of Hitsu is still with him.]
For Goten, who has been here for so long, it really must've been painful for him to lose another friend. Gohan hasn't experienced too much of those, especially since he's always been a bit on the awkward side himself of befriending anyone who wasn't already their dad's friends.
But he does draw Goten in for a hug, unable to help himself from doing something that's as instinctive as an older brother hoping to comfort his younger brother.]
I know we haven't had much of a chance to talk lately, but I wanted you to know I was thinking of you this time of year. Maybe we can become better friends in the new year? I hope so!
Action Dec 13ish
[He knocks on the door of his temple eagerly, still calling for the older half saiyan.]
Goooooohan! I know your home. I've gotten a lot better at sensing energy and you're super easy to feel.

[Gohan opens the door and Goten may be able to see a table full of food behind him.]
Hey Goten. What brings you by?

[He doesn't need to see it, he can smell it. But his attention is shifted to the table, stomach giving a growl before he stares up at Gohan. You're....going to invite him in and give him at least a snack right? Right?
Dark eyes become bigger.]

He laughs, opening the door wider for him to come in.]
Wanna join me for some lunch?

[He's easy to please but Goten has always been a happy kid. His eyes light up and without waiting for another word, he bounces inside and over to the table.]
Wow, did you make all this yourself? I didnt know you could cook, Gohan!
no subject
[Gohan closes the door behind him and follows him in.]
Well, not all of it. But I can cook pretty decently.
[Not as well as their mom, anyway.]
no subject
You should come over and try Mrick's cooking sometime too! He's gotten pretty good at it.
[Maybe not Izumo level, but its still really really good. Then again, Goten is bias towards his best friend and god.]
no subject
[He sits across from him.]
Let's dig in!

[See he has manners! Even if he doesn't remember her, their mother influence is still over Goten. He lifts up his plate, chowing down and shoveling the food into his mouth as if he hasn't eaten for days upon days.]

Especially because it's not long before Gohan give thanks as well and begins shoveling the food into his mouth.]

[His words are muffled from the food in his mouth and he swallows it in one go.]
Still got Raichi and Piccolo.
no subject
[He perks at piccolo, he still hasn't met Raichi]
Is piccolo still grumpy? Everytime I see him he kinda seems like he wants to be left alone...
no subject
Not yet.
[Gohan looks a little bemused.]
That's Piccolo for you. He's always been grumpy.
[He pauses a bit.] He's usually off meditating in the mountains. The dinosaurs learned to leave him alone.

[Goten just wants to befriend the green alien.]
no subject
[He glances at him.]

[He smiles at the older half saiyan, licking his fingers]

[Gohan reaches over, ruffling his hair.]
no subject
Maybe I can ask him to spar with me then. But I really like sparing with you Gohan.
no subject
[He perks.]
You still gotta show me everything you've learned, Goten.
no subject
[He frowns a bit at that but that doesn't stop him from stuffing a roll into his mouth. The boy hasn't been as much in a training mood since a certain death god left.]

[Gohan looks at him in concern.]
What happened?

Merry Christmas, Gohan!
